Services

1.  Fees

  • The first meeting is free--we want to "connect."
  • The wedding package includes coordinating with musicians, DJ's, organizing ushers and wedding party, conducting the rehearsal and writing out the entire script of the ceremony.
  • The tone of the wedding is a melding of:
    • your thoughts, ideas and feelings,
    • my unique blend of humor and solemnity,
    • and the dignity of the occasion itself.
  • At our meeting we will go through the elements of the ceremony itself -- the vows, rings, readings, music, as well as the wedding party and family considerations. I can make recommendations for musicians, locations and other vendors.
  • The fee for this is $450.00 (CDN) and includes the initial consultation, the rehearsal, travel (within 20 km of Kelowna; please add $50 for travel to Vernon or Penticton), meeting, telephone and email communication and scripting. Every wedding is unique, so I put as much thought and preparation into a small, intimate ceremony as a larger one.
  • A deposit of $225.00 (CDN) is required once we've "connected" and agreed to perform the ceremony.  This reserves the date on my calendar and I begin to put my thoughts together for your special day.  The deposit becomes non-refundable 6 months prior to your wedding date.  The balance of $225.00 is due at the rehearsal.
  • Throughout the entire process -- meeting together, planning, writing the ceremony, recommending, advising, rehearsing, rewriting and the wedding itself, your thoughts and feelings are critically important.  I will work with you to bring dignity, humor, joy and meaning to your special day.  Together we will create a unique experience -- one you will cherish forever.
2.  The Marriage License
  • You should apply for your license in the 3 month period prior to your wedding date.  The license is valid for only 3 months, so no need to apply before then.  Go to any Vital Statistics office or go online to www.vs.gov.bc.ca/marriage/howto.html
3. The Rehearsal
  • A rehearsal ensures that everyone in the wedding party can feel relaxed and confident on the wedding day.  It is important not only to talk through, but to walk through all the steps of the ceremony to ensure it will run smoothly.  Conducting your rehearsal with consideration, humor, clarity and tact is included in the fee.
